Arctis Nova 5X Review: How Its Features Fit Gaming Setups
Platform coverage for a shared headset
The USB-C dongle supports Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest and mobile devices, so the Nova 5X fits a setup that spans consoles and personal devices.
Confirm that your specific device works with the dongle before buying, especially if it is outside those named platforms.
Battery life and charging
A 60-hour battery rating is aimed at long stretches between charges, while USB-C fast charging offers six hours of use after 15 minutes. Treat both as practical planning figures rather than a guarantee for every usage pattern.
Switching between game and Bluetooth audio
Quick-Switch toggles between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3, supporting a move to a call or media without making Bluetooth the only wireless mode.
Notification beeps can alert you to incoming calls while gaming, a useful prompt if you keep your phone connected.
Presets, microphone and physical controls
The companion app provides more than 100 game audio presets, while the retractable ClearCast 2.X mic and on-ear ChatMix, mute and volume controls cover common gaming adjustments.
These features offer flexibility, though they do not establish how the headset or microphone will sound in a particular room.
